Happy Monday everyone! Sorry for the radio silence at the end of last week… sometimes my day job monopolises my time and my blog gets relegated to second place. Sadface. Anyway, I’m back now and for today’s post I have a really bright and fun home belonging to a very talented photographer, Carley Kay. Carley resides in Chicagoland with her adorable family, and documented the transformation of her new home on her website… which is nothing short of breathtaking. This space just makes me smile, with chevron patterns making multiple appearances and white walls letting the colourful furniture and prints take centre stage. My favourite touch is the yellow headboard against the floral cushions. Pure sunshine to wake up to every morning:

These days a front row is not complete without professional Brit FROW-er (and model/gal-about-town) Poppy Delevigne. As with my other favourite style crushes, Palermo and Kruger, it’s the classic pieces that Poppy wears the best. Showing off those endless pins in minis and ankle boots is Poppy’s signature look, but she can pull off glamorous gowns (how stunning is the embellished dress on the top row?), dressed-up jeans and wide-leg trousers equally well. Always immaculately put together but never too try-hard, her natural beauty and poise ensure that all eyes are on her. Which, when you’re a FROW-er, is the ultimate aim. After choosing the navy and white lounge as my room of the week last Friday, I had sneaky search on Pinterest for the same preppy combination and to my delight it threw up a plethora of equally beautiful interiors. Less extreme than black and white, it makes any room look incredibly smart and stylish, especially when a third colour such as fuchsia or coral is introduced. I think my favourite of all these images is the sitting room with dark navy gloss paint and gallery walls, with pink blooms providing a stunning feature. Tell me, dear readers, what do you think of this blend of colours?

I’ve got a bit of a fetish for coffee table books. I don’t think I’ve even read one… I just love the way they look all stacked up, and pages upon pages of incredible images. Don’t judge me. I have posted before about interior books (see here), and now I have a pile that completely obscures the flat screen, I want to move on to fashion tomes. So here is my shortlist; I believe the one with the most pictures will win the day:
