objects of desire

I would love to bring out my inner Greek goddess with this jaw-droppingly beautiful Hervé Van Der Straeten necklace layered on top of this Maje dress… and those Loubs are an outfit in themselves:

behind the scenes

I know I’m forever apologising for being MIA, but I really do miss keeping up a proper blogging routine. Wedding planning takes up more time than I thought it would… I mean, I organise events for a living, I assumed I could do it with my eyes closed! In lieu of a usual post, here are some pics I’ve snapped in the past few weeks:

happy birthday america

Just a quick note to wish all my American friends and readers a very happy Independence Day! As my adopted American family get together to celebrate, I would love to be with them. Maybe next year. Also congrats to my brother and sister-in-law on their fourth wedding anniversary. Lots of love to you all and have a fabulous day xx

polka dot confetti

Much of my spare time is currently consumed by wedding planning… which, for someone obsessed with weddings and indeed planning, is no bad thing. Luckily my two favourite pastimes of lifestyle blogging and organising our big day often combine. It started with some Kate Spade china (final image) and escalated into all things ‘confetti’, and is now the theme of our invitations. Can’t wait to show you the end result!

wedding day details

Good morning all! I hope you had lovely Easter weekends and that your days were spent demolishing chocolate eggs and napping somewhere cosy (April Showers? They’re not kidding around). I had a great time at a country wedding on Sunday (when the couple were delivering their vows, the farmyard animals outside were answering for them – brilliant), and it gave me butterflies knowing that it will happen for us in the not too distant future. Although I promise that {weddings you fancy} will be up and running in the next few months, to give you an idea of the details that will be incorporated into our w-day – which include a bright, non-regimented colour scheme, whimsical lighting and a homemade feel – here’s a sneak peak:
