Do you find yourself peaking into people’s houses when it’s dark and they’ve left their curtains open to see how they’ve decorated their home? No, me neither. Thankfully with Shootfactory, which showcases UK and international locations available for photo shoots, TV and film, you can be as nosy as you like. From country cottages and London townhouses to beach huts and farmhouses, they have an stunning collection of interior eye candy. This one in particular gave me house envy with its sleek shutters, white wooden floors and array of Union Jacks:

last minute gift guide

The weeks leading up to Christmas invariably run away with everyone… before you know it you’re battling the high street crowds on Christmas Eve, making panic buys for loved ones, and promising yourself that next year you’ll be one of those smug individuals who buy and wrap their gifts in September. deck your halls

Everyone has their favourite element of Christmas Day; perhaps the excitement of checking to see if Santa has paid a visit (29 years old and still a believer), an excuse to drink Champagne for breakfast, the Ferrero Rocher-induced coma in front of the TV, the board games that won’t see the light of day for the rest of the year…? One of my favourite parts has always been everybody round the table, delicious food, party hats on and lots of laughter. Making this picture even more appealing would be surroundings fit for the festivities, with any of the pieces below. Just add candlelight and Nat King Cole.

a fresh start

With the start of this style blog comes the lead-up to my absolute favourite holiday. Every year I forget how much I love it, and if I had my way I’d start the festive celebrations as soon as summer is over. Finally I’ve been allowed to grotto-up my living room with mismatched tree ornaments, colourful stockings and a garland over the fireplace… but these elegant pictures (via Country Living) make me want to whitewash every room and embrace a minimalist White Christmas:

1. Dotcomgiftshop wooden block letters – £16.95
2. notonthehighstreet.com Twiggy Wreath – £15
3. Dunelm Mill Chateau Overmantel Mirror – £199.99
