homeware at urban outfitters

I’m forever bemoaning the fact that in the UK we are streets behind the trends readily available in US home decor stores… case in point being that this country still thinks that a statement wall is cutting edge. Put the garish floral wallpaper down, people. So when I saw that Urban Outfitters (only previously visited during my ‘shimmery scarf’ phase) are cottoning on to the fact there’s a demand for geometric prints, I did a massive internal jig of excitement. And check out that antique carpet! Wherever Tom and I wind up living, that little bargainous beauty is going to be co-habiting. What do you think of their range?

Well… you guys may be behind when it comes to home decor but we are ages behind in fashion! I was in the UK last summer and stocked up on peplum tops and pussybow shirts and they didn’t come into style until this year here! I hate US fashion!

I was just saying the same to my other half. When I moved to the UK from the US, I thought the fashion here was amazing. Its very strange that the homewares market just doesn’t keep up! xxx

I love a lot of the homeware at Urban Outfitters, but it doesn’t really suit the style of my current home. I have my eye on some of the bedding though…

I really love how edgy Urban Outfitters are! I purchased a few bits from them recently and although my other half thought pretty much everything was weird (a quilt which unfortunately was just too much for my bedroom, a gold skull which I love and a shower curtain with a big zebra on it), I think they are fab! Love all the pattern, definitely lacking in the UK! xxx
