on breaking off her engagement: “I was too young for marriage. I remember BeyoncĂ© asked me one question: she said, “Well, you know what you want now, don’t you?” and I was like, “Yes.” It was so hard and embarrassing because everyone knew. I’d posed for the front cover of a magazine in my wedding dress and it was on sale! But sometimes you fall down and you learn from it.”
on being happy single: “I’m a big girl now. Before, I’d want to lean on somebody. Now I love the fact I can just be a single lady, chilling and hanging with my friends and travelling the world. It’s a pretty good life. I’m ready for marriage when the right time comes now, though.”
on working with Gary Barlow: “With all due respect to his wife, her husband has the nicest little hiney I have ever seen. But it’s his smile too. He’s very genuine. I love a person who is straight to the point.”
on staying in shape: “I love sugar and fried food, so my trainer gave me the 80/20 rule: 80% of the time you eat healthily and 20% you can have sweets, cocktails, or whatever! I try to exercise for 30 minutes a day. It’s my opportunity to take care of myself; it’s the best.”
on the pressure of being on prime-time TV: “For me it’s not about what the rest of the world think. I like to feel good naked. You want to look in the mirror and feel happy. It’s for me – nobody else. I spend a lot on clothes, so I like to feel good in them. But don’t get me wrong, it’s hard when sticky toffee pudding exists!”
