rainbow brights

Our high streets are currently a riot of colour thanks to the influences of Jil Sander, Prada and Gucci. Colour blocking is a major s/s11 trend, however stand-alone shades are a way of introducing colour to your wardrobe without the fear of looking like a children’s TV presenter. Below the catwalk looks are a selection of dresses that would brighten any day… and for the truly brave, pairing them with clashing tones could make a real statement. Go bold or go home:

{Top: Gucci, Diane von Furstenberg, Jil Sander, Blumarine; Bottom: Jil Sander, Etro, Jil Sander & Prabal Gurung}

{1. Alice + Olivia stretch cotton-poplin dress / 2. Victoria Beckham cotton-crepe dress / 3. Acne Niki knot back dress / 4. Cacharel backless pin tuck dress / 5. Dorothy Perkins waffle pleat dress / 6. Warehouse Samara ruffle dress / 7. Oasis rose corsage dress / 8. Very crinkle bandeau dress}
