yellow fever

Ever since I found that gorgeous yellow buttoned chair (as seen here), I’ve been noticing how a single yellow piece of furniture or print can lift an entire room. In my own house, even on the gloomiest of mornings, my bright saffron ‘Keep Calm & Carry On’ print and my vintage radio (seen here) have the power to give me a much-needed pick-me-up. So to start the week on a postive foot, here is a gallery of rooms that feature a splash of yellow, then a few ideas of how you can bring some sunshine into your home:

I love a hit of yellow! Definitely cheers up a space. This is a gorgeous selection of rooms, and I love the yellow items you’ve shown – that yellow velvet sofa is to die for! And that yellow painted clock… (add to basket)

watched ‘may the best house win’ one guy had his whole house done in yellow, outside and inside from walls, flooring to bedding and all his applicances. He wore nothing but yellow ever. I think it was a bit overkill detracted from how lovely yellow can be. Needless to say he didn’t win

I’m loving the yolk yellow colour in the third picture, you’d neve think to use that sort of yellow but it works so well in that interior. I also heart the Rise and Shine print, might purchase one!
